I found that I needed to re-scale almost every time, since the different sizes and shapes that I might be working on were so often varied. You will find quick text instructions for how to install, rescale, and modify your new layer styles set inside the enclosed "ReadMe" text file. Once you understand how to open and make slight adjustments to your layer styles, you are going to find that you just can't live without them! As with the other gem stone types of styles, I tried to stay 'middle of the road' with the pattern and smooth bevel sizes-leaving the rest up to you-so that you can get the maximum use out of these unique styles. ________________________________________________________________________________ This product was created for PC. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Files/Programs needed but not supplied in this archive: -Adobe Photoshop 7 or Above- for the .asl and .pat file The current version of Adobe Photoshop can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop.html NOTE: These styles have been tested in Photoshop 7, CS and CS2 only: patterns in CS & CS2 only ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation Instructions Into Photoshop: 1. Unzip and extract the styles (.asl file) into whereever you keep your Adobe/Photoshop 7, CS (or Photoshop CS2)/Presets/Styles directory. 2. Open Photoshop. 3. If you don't already have your Styles window visible, click on "Window" and then "Styles" 4. In your "Styles" Window, click on the little triangle in a circle, that's pointing to the right. (located in the upper right hand corner below the "open/close") of the styles box 5. Select "Load Styles" from the Drop Down Box 6. Locate and Choose/highlight/load the desired .asl file(s) (.asl file=layer styles extension) into your Photoshop Styles Tool Palette 7. Apply to your layer with one click! .pat file: Use the same instructions above but insert into your Photoshop patterns folder location. Use pattern to fill or stroke an image, etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage Tips/Special Instructions Quickie Re-Scaling Instructions: "How To Re-Scale/Adjust Layer Styles for Any Size Image in Photoshop" 1) To scale your layer effects go to (menu) Layer > Layer Style > Scale Effects. Or you can access this command from the Layers palette by right-clicking on the small layer effects symbol (looks like an f) on your layer, then choosing the Scale Effects command. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) When you choose Scale Effects, the dialog box "Scale Layer Effects" will appear. You can reduce the scale down as low as 1% to make the effects smaller, or increase the scale up to 1000% to make the effects larger.
