Cadillac Eldorado 1953

The top of the line 1953 Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado was one of three specialty convertibles produced in 1953 by General Motors, the other two being the Oldsmobile 98 Fiesta and the Buick Roadmaster Skylark. The Eldorado was a special-bodied, low-production convertible (532 units in total). It was the production version of the 1952 El Dorado "Golden Anniversary" concept car, and borrowed bumper bullets from the 1951 GM Le Sabre show car. It featured a full assortment of deluxe accessories, including wire wheels, and introduced the wraparound windshield and a cut-down beltline to Cadillac standard production, the latter signifying a dip in the sheetmetal at the bottom of the side windows. These two touches (featured on one or both of GM's other 1953 specialty convertibles) were especially beloved by General Motors Styling Chief Harley Earl and subsequently were widely copied by other marques. Available in four unique colors (Aztec Red, Alpine White, Azure Blue and Artisan Ochre — the latter is a yellow hue, although it was shown erroneously as black in the color folder issued on this rare model). Convertible tops were available in either black or white Orlon.  Although technically a subseries of the Cadillac Series 62 and based on the regular Series 62 convertible, sharing its engine, it was nearly twice as expensive at US$7,750. 
 
Throughout the remainder of the 1950s, Eldorado was General Motors' styling leader, and since GM led the industry in the mid-1950s, where the Eldorado went, everyone else would tend to follow.

Installation instructions:
Check that you have the total control on your program.

Unzip and paste the Cadillac Eldorado 1953.vob somewhere in your hard drive. Then open it with the left mouse button, and your Vue program opens. Save your Cadillac Eldorado 1953.vob in the Objects\Vehicles\Terrestrial folder or in any folder of your choice.

You must maintain all copyright notices on all copies of the SOFTWARE PRODUCT.

Useage tips and instructions:

ROTATING PARTS ( ROLL, YAW ) with pivots:
The four WHEELS can be rotated by using the "Roll" rotate dial. For left to right movement of a front wheel as in steering, you use the "Yaw" rotate dial to your desired position or use the pivots from the top view. You must do this for each front wheel
The 2 doors can be opened using the pivots from the top view.
The 2 front back seats can rotate using the pivots from the side view.
As the front and the rear registration plates are Alpha planes, they are easy to change.


Changing the main colour is easy : select MAIN BODY/OUTSIDE PARTS/PAINT. Edit the material.
Do the same for each of the two "DOORS" : 1 ) select MOVING PARTS/DOORLEFT/paint. Edit the material.
                                          2 ) select MOVING PARTS/DOORRIGHT/paint. Edit the material.

Changing the colour of the sof top : select MAIN BODY/OUTSIDE PARTS/ soft top. Edit the material.

Changing the red colour: 
1 ) select MAIN BODY/INSIDE PARTS/red. Edit the material.
2 ) select MOVING PARTS/DOORLEFT/red. Edit the material.
3 ) select MOVING PARTS/DOORRIGHT/red. Edit the material.
4 ) select MOVING PARTS/FRONTSEATBACK LEFT/red. Edit the material.
5 ) select MOVING PARTS/FRONTSEATBACK RIGHT/red. Edit the material.
