Drusy Quartz [Metallic Stone] Layer Styles for Photoshop 7 & Above Copyright ©2012 Roberta Dugan fractalartist01/Roberta B. Dugan of Color Palette Designs --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --Choose from 24 different Drusy Quartz patterned layer styles which have been tested in Photoshop 7 and Above All have gold or silver flecks or veins embedded or running through the pattern. --Drusy Quartz are gemstones/gem crystals with a natural surface texture much like sugar crystals that formed on the quartz by the phenomena of micro-crystalline facets millions of years ago. Drusy crystals went unnoticed in the jewelry world until recently, when they began appearing in the work of noted carvers and jewelry designers. The appeal is now starting to grow for Drusy Quartz jewelry as it displays a multitude of tiny crystals with a reflective surface reminiscent of sugar or snow. One of the hottest and current fashion trends are large/chunky drusy quartz rings worn on the middle finger that either compliment or contrast their fashions. --Now, you can create modern-looking metallic stone jewelry pieces, quickly and easily! But please don't limit these styles to jewels and gems. Use on belt buckles, doors, walls and other household items. Apply them to picture frames, overlays, templates, alphas, clip art, lineart, dingbat fonts, custom shapes, elements, brushes, text and more. These styles have been tested in Photoshop 7 & Above. --All of the styles contain high-resolution seamless patterns to make your designing so easy and fast! Seamless patterns are important for making your layer styles completely adjustable for your needs. High resolution makes whatever you design with this set suitable for both web and print creations. {200-300dpi} --Check out the additional product pages for a closer look at some example images created with scaled down layer styles (text instructions that detail how to scale your layer styles to adapt them to the size of graphic you're designing can be found in the text "Read Me" file included with all of my Photoshop Layer Style products) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This package was created for PC & Mac ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Files/Programs needed but not supplied in this archive: -Adobe Photoshop 7 or Above- The current version of Adobe Photoshop can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/family/?promoid=BPDEK NOTE: These styles have been tested in Photoshop 7and above and may not work in other versions of Photoshop The png files work in any application that can open/edit png files ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation Instructions Into Photoshop: 1. Or you can access this command from the Layers palette by right-clicking on the small layer effects symbol (looks like an f) on your layer, then choosing the Scale Effects command. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) When you choose Scale Effects, the dialog box "Scale Layer Effects" will appear. You can reduce the scale down as low as 1% to make the effects smaller, or increase the scale up to 1000% to make the effects larger. {Somewhere in between those settings usually looks best, however} This re-scales every effect used in the Layer Style at once...OR you can just remove/add a shadow, add a stroke or inner bevel, change the pattern scale size, etc. *Checking the "Preview" box will allow you to see as you're adjusting.* --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) So the next time you download some layer styles and find they don't look quite the same on your own images as they did in the examples, try scaling the effects and see if it makes a difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Folder: DrusyQuartzStyles [File List] MetallicStone_DrusyQuartz.asl metallicstone_MAIN.jpg Total number of files = 2 Folder: Documentation [File List] metallicstone_readme.txt Renderosity_License.txt Total number of files = 2 Grand Total Folders=2 Grand Total Files=4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copyright notice: You CAN use these styles to create/style any NEW personal or commercial works.
