Optional: A4 or G4, S4 morphs Poser 7 or higher This package is optimized for use in Poser 7 or higher. It has been tested in Poser 7, Poser Pro, Poser 8, Poser Pro 2010, Poser 9 and Poser Pro 2012. These shoes are not meant for use in DAZ Studio as they use procedural textures and shaders meant for use in Poser! If you wish to use them with DAZ Studio you will have to adjust the shaders, and the polka dot bow materials will not work at all in DAZ Studio. It has not been tested on a MAC, but may work with this OS, but I can offer no support for MAC users, sorry. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Detailed Installation Instructions: Extract the zip-archive with your zip program: - Open WinZip and press the button -Extract- - In the window -Folders/drives-, select the folder which contains your Poser program. (ex. c:\program files\Poser\ ). - The check box -Use Folder names- must be marked. That way, all files will be placed in the correct path. Poser 6 and above users, all files should end up in the correct places if you have the "Use folder names" option checked. If you have also purchased the Darling Devil Shoes for Anastasia when you unzip this file you will get a warning about overwriting the texture files. Accept the otpion to overwrite the files, as the textures in this pack are the same as the ones in the Anastasia pack, both types of shoes share the exact same mapping. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Included Items - Darling Devil shoe Left and Right. - 78 Material Collection files for all shoe, bow, sole, heel tip and metal options. - Pose to set feet and to lock toes - Pose to unlock toes - Fit Poses for Aiko4, Girl4 (no scale), V4 Bulk and Stephanie4 (Grace, Short and Stout) - 14 texture maps (Shoe and Bow mapped separately) - 15 Normal maps - 2 templates with clearly labeled material zones ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage Tips/Limitations - Please be sure to set ray tracing to ON to get the full effects of the shaders, as they rely on ray tracing to get the full effect and will not look right if it's not used. Also, you need something in your scene, like an environment sphere, to load an image on or the metals will have nothing to reflect and won't look natural. If you don't have an environment sphere, you can get a super free one here, along with detailed instructions on how to use it: https://sites.google.com/site/bagginsbill/free-stuff/environment-sphere - MATERIAL collection files are supplied for all of the textures. In Poser 8 or higher you do not need to be in the Material Room to apply these material collections, they will apply properly while you are still in the Pose Room. Make sure to select a shoe before applying the material! There are no MAT pose files included, all materials can be found in the Darling Devil Shoes folder under the Materials library. - The shoes load with the Darling morph set to 1. To change to any of the other shoe styles, simply set the Darling morph to 0 (zero) and set your chosen morph dial to 1. - DO NOT mix the morphs, as this will result in tearing of the mesh and other oddities. - A pose is supplied to inject a shoe fit shape into V4, and one to set the feet into position for the shoes which will lock all movement of the toes. The foot shape must be injected for the shoes to fit V4 properly. It is also best to apply the foot pose after applying the foot shape injection, before applying any other pose to V4. As with any normal pose, you will likely need to adjust the foot rotations and possibly the side to side and twist dials, after you apply any other third party pose to your figure, to set the proper angle so the shoes will touch the ground. After adjusting the foot, you can use the hot key CTRL+D to drop V4 to the ground and she should end up with the sole of the shoe touching the ground. Some minor movement adjustments may still be necessary, depending on the final pose you have selected to use with her for your scene, I usually select the Body of the figure and move it down if needed (for standing poses) or make slight adjustments to the thigh bend of the figure for sitting poses. :) A second pose is supplied which will unlock the toes, but it is not recommended that you use this unlocking pose unless you are done using the shoes, as some third party poses will adjust the side to side and bends of one or more of the toes, leaving you with toe bits poking through the shoes. :) - Scaling poses are supplied to fit the shoes to the A4 and G4 body shapes. You don't need to select the shoes when using these scaling poses, you can have the V4 body selected and the pose will detect the shoes and apply the proper scale to make them fit your figure. When using the shoes with the G4 character, change the (TheGirlScaleOn) dial in the main Body listing for the Girl4 to 0, or off, as these shoes are not scaled to work with that scale dial on. If you wish to leave this scale dail set to 1 you will have to change the size of the shoes by hand to fit the larger feet. The A4 pose fit is for the main A4 body shape only, if you wish you can scale the shoes slightly smaller for her other body shapes. There are poses to fit the shoes to several of the S4 body shapes; Grace, Short and Stout. There is no pose needed to fit the shoes to the default S4 body. PLEASE NOTE: Stephanie 4 is known to have scaling issues in Poser 7 or lower, and the included poses to fit the shoes to the S4 body shapes may not always work in Poser 7 or lower. If you are one of the ones who S4 doesn't work well for, you may have to scale the shoes by hand to fit certain S4 body shapes. The scaling poses are working in Poser 8 and higher. - Please load your chosen shoe color first, then apply any bow or metal options second, as the full shoe colors (numbered 01 and 02) will change the color of the entire shoe and remove any metal or bow options you apply. - The denim wild style texture loads with all copper colored metals and a pale denim blue color sole. An optional material collection for the copper metals can be found in the Wild N Mild folder, which you can use on any of the other shoes in this collection. Please note that the copper metals will be applied to all metal material zones and the heel tip! - If you wish to change any of the colors for the leather or patent leather shoes, or any of the sole colors, simply go into the Material Room and select the material zone you wish to change the color on. In the Poser Surface main node, change the Diffuse color to your chosen one. Alternatively, you can change the Diffuse Color to white, and change the Simple Color node to your chosen color, but you won't see your color in the preview window. NOTE: The supplied foot shaping morph does not work well with some other third party morph sets, and may cause odd twisting and crushing of the toes or extra movement in the heel area of the foot, pulling it away from the shoe.
